Sewing Lessons
I'm been teaching people how to sew for about the past three year, and sewing for over ten. I currently mostly focus on clothing alteration and repair skills, but have sewn everything from quilts, to curtains, to dog jackets. Sewing is such an empowering skill, and love seeing when it clicks with students. Being able to alter my own clothing to fit my body has been a very healing process for me personally. I hope you leave our session feeling empowered to take on new projects and make clothing work for you.
I teach sewing lesson in share office space in Ballard. My rate sliding scale from $30-$50 and hour, with most lessons being 2 hours. Lessons slots are only during weekdays 9am-5pm. The different topics I teach are available below. If you are interested fill out the form to get started.
Sewing Lesson Interest FormWhat you will learn:

- How to patch a hole in a existing garment
- How to fix a ripped seam
- How to reenforced pant crotches
What to bring:
- Your sewing machine, otherwise you can use the one provided.
- 4-6 garments that you would like to repair.
- Any patch fabric matching the garment if avaialble
What you will learn:
- How read sewing patterns
- How to cut fabric from a pattern
- Assistance on construction or new techniques
- Guidance getting started with a project, or assistance if you stuck on the next step
What to bring:
- Your sewing machine, otherwise you can use the one provided.
- Your sewing project including its pattern, fabrics and any notions
